Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer is in the country to do a movie with a Filipino leading lady.
It has been a few weeks since the name of Mario Maurer came up in the Philippine showbiz as he arrived in the country to promote Filipino clothing line. But it has already been confirmed that Maurer will also be doing a movie under Star Cinema.
Kim Chiu’s name came out first to be his leading lady but Star Cinema recommended Erich Gonzales as she was seen to be a perfect fit for a Filipina role.
“Suddenly It’s Magic” is the confirmed title of the Maurer-Gonzales team up which is expected to become a hit not just in the Philippines but also in Thailand.
Maurer has become so popular because of his recent movie “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” which captivated the minds and hearts of his teen fans.
Suddenly It’s Magic’s storyline will be about a Thai celebrity cheated by his lover. In a bid to forget her, he goes to the Philippines to find peace where he meets a local beauty whom he’ll fall in love with.
